Police said the accident happened at 9pm on the outbound Kubon road in front of the MaxValue department store and in front of the Phattaharin housing estate in Bangkok's Klong Sam Wa district.
Piraporn Sajjaphanpong, 28, died soon after she was removed from the wreckage of her Toyota Yaris. She had a big gash on her forehead.
Police said a driver and two passengers in a Toyota Vios car were injured and were taken to a nearby hospital.
The truck driver, Thassanee Kaewphukhiew, 35, was also injured and taken to Nawamin 9 Hospital.
Witnesses told police that they saw the pickup suddenly swerve to the right, mount the island and flip into the air before falling on to the two incoming cars.
Police have yet to interrogate the pickup driver to determine why he lost control of his vehicle.
