He said Ban Mae Khong and Ban Na Kian pupils had no lunches as their teachers had sent for district ingredients and other supplies which had not returned because of flood damage to the roads with landslides and large fallen trees. Backhoes were clearing the road, he said.
Chiang Mai disaster prevention and mitigation office head Pairin Limcharoen said the regional administrative bodies had the ability to provide aid, although the provincial office had already deployed officers and machines to help.
