Vintcom Technology Plc (VCOM), a distributor of IT systems, will invest Bt196.5 million to acquire I-Secure, a managed security service provider, to expand its service channels and customers base.

VCOM chairman Narong Intanate said this should help increase the proportion of service revenue to 40 per cent from 35 per cent and was confident that this year’s revenue would achieve Bt1.6 billion.
“The objective of this acquisition is in line with the company’s expansion plan into IT and network security service, which should increase the company’s service revenue as well as decrease its dependency on Oracle’s products.
In addition, it is believed that this acquisition should create mutual benefits for both VCOM and I-Secure," he said.
