German drug suspect arrested in Bangkok

A German drug suspect who is wanted by Interpol and German officials has been arrested in Bangkok, acting Immigration Bureau chief Pol Maj Gen Surachate Hakpal said on Friday.

Surachate said David Maas, 26, was arrested at the BTS Phra Khanong station on Monday.
Mass was found to have overstayed his visa for 257 days after it expired on February 14. He fled to Thailand on January 16 and entered the country via Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Surachate said Mass had arrest warrants issued by a German court for allegedly selling drugs worth Bt175 million via the so-called Dark Web network.
He was also suspected of taking part in a robbery of laptop computers and mobile phones in Germany in November, 2017.
