Mondelez International (Thailand) country director Tanant Suwanraksa said on Monday.
As of February, Thailand’s gum market was valued at Bt2 billion, with Mondelez Thailand firmly in lead position with a 60.5-per-cent share, and Dentyne holding the No-1 spot with a market share of 52.2 per cent.
Another Mondelez brand, Clorets, had 8.1 per cent of the market.
Thailand’s gum market is comprised of regular gum, which holds a 75-per-cent share, and sugar-free gum, which takes up the remainder.
Mondelez International (Thailand) aims to achieve over 10-per-cent sales growth within two years and attain a 65-per-cent market share, Tanant said.
“We will do this by focusing on penetrating the segment of young, influential, trendy and health-conscious adult consumers. We will make this possible, thanks to a truly exceptional gum and sensorial experience that provides three waves of juicy fruit flavours,” the country director added.
