The severe drought in Phichit's Pho Prathab Chang district has caused farmers to evacuate more than 2,500 free-range ducks along with their pumps to a water source 20km away.

Farmer Saranyu Juinam, who raises ducks for eggs, said that he had to move his birds to another pond because of the drought.
"Ducks must have food and water to grow and lay eggs," he said.
