Rotting porpoise found on Prachuap Khiri Khan beach
A decomposed carcass of a finless porpoise was found on the Sam Roi Yod beach in Prachuap Khiri Khan’s Sam Roi Yod district on Wednesday morning.
Lapatrada Silanon of the Regional Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office spotted the carcass during her morning exercise at the beach in Moo 5 village.
The porpoise was about 50cm long. Officials believed it died about three days ago before it was washed ashore.
Its body had traces of being injured by a fishing net.
