Vegetarians not big spenders this year

Kasikorn Research Centre expects Bangkokians to spend up to Bt4.8 billion during this year’s Vegetarian or Jae Festival, up 2.4 per cent from the same period last year. 

The research centre said most Bangkokians are tightening their belts due to the economic slowdown. 
This year’s Vegetarian Festival runs from September 29 to October 7.
