The “Showing respect, following the footsteps of His Majesty the King” event began on Sunday morning with a merit-making ceremony. Alms were given to 39 monks, followed by a sermon and prayers to the late King. People stood in silence for 89 seconds before a photo of the late King. A large number of physicians and people attended the event at Siriraj Hospital.

The Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital on Sunday organised a sombre commemoration event on the second anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
