SET bucks the trend of gains for Asian bourses
The Stock Exchange of Thailand Index closed at 1,523.93 today (February 11), down 11.31 points (0.74 per cent) from the end of trade last Friday.
The SET index moved between 1,522.97 and 1,539.43 with a total trade volume of Bt52.61 billion.
Tisco Research predicted that the index would edge upwards today with support at 1,525-1,530 points and resistance at 1,542-1,550.
Elsewhere in Asia, China’s Shanghai SE Composite index closed at 2,901.67, up 11.19 points, or 0.39 per cent. The Shenzhen SE Component index closed at 10,768.63, up 40.17 points, or 0.37 per cent.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index closed at 27,583.88, up 342.54 points, or 1.26 per cent.
South Korea’s KOSPI index closed at 2,223.12, up 22.05 points, or 1.00 per cent.
Taiwan’s TAIEX index closed at 11,664.04, up 89.97 points, or 0.78 per cent.
