He was speaking after holding a meeting with the National Vaccine Institute during which a blueprint to develop the vaccine was proposed and approved.
He said relevant agencies will contact both local and international institutions to sign a memorandum of understanding related to the Covid-19 vaccine in a move to ensure that Thailand gets access to the serum at the same time as other countries.
“The virus will be disabled once its vaccine is developed. Every department needs to work on this and hopefully Thailand can be a leader in the vaccine development. This matter will become clearer in three months, but more time will be required to make the vaccine truly effective,” Anutin said.
