Army department to disinfect MRT stations next week

The chemical department of the Royal Thai Army has been tasked with disinfecting the Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line (Blue Line) and Chalong Ratchadham (Purple Line).

Earlier, 55 staff had undertaken a cleaning operation at MRT Tao Poon station on May 15 from 10pm to 4am.
The staff will also disinfect 52 other MRT stations from May 25 to 31.

Meanwhile, the Army has sent staff to curfew checkpoints, border checkpoints, 17 Bangkok Transit System (BTS) stations, and eight state quarantines to take care of people during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Some staff also provided food and haircut, bought farmers’ crops, repaired electrical appliances and set up community pantries.
