Minister pleased with preparations for Obec exam to hire assistant teachers
Education Minister Nataphol Teepsuwan said the examination to recruit assistant teachers under the Office of the Basic Education Commission (Obec) was going well.
He oversaw the preparations at Woranari Chaloem School in Songkhla province on Saturday (July 11).
Obec is holding the examination to recruit assistant teachers nationwide; 22,397 examinees have applied for 4,697 assistant teacher positions covering 89 subjects.
Examinees must take a written exam on Saturday (July 11) followed by an interview on Sunday. The examination results will be announced on July 16.
Nataphol said that he could see the intention of the contract teachers, as they were well prepared for this examination.
"We found that this examination is loaded with a lot of content while interacting with examinees," he said. "Therefore, we will use their information to review the content used in the examination in the future, focusing on testing examinees' experience to apply the knowledge to their teaching in the classroom."
