Gold price unchanged in morning trade
The price of gold was unchanged in morning trade today (July 13), the Gold Traders Association reported.
As of 9.24am, the buying price of a gold bar was Bt26,700 per baht weight and selling price Bt26,800, while gold ornaments cost Bt26,226.80 and Bt27,300, respectively.
The spot gold price moved to $1,798 (Bt56,675.65) this morning after increasing by $12.2 to $1,801.9 per ounce at Monday’s close after investors decided to purchase safe haven assets amid the rising number of Covid-19 infections in the United States, especially Florida.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong gold price dropped by HK$7, opening at $16,640 (Bt67,670) per tael this morning.
