Ex-student, 26, jumps to her death at university in Vibhavadi
A 26-year-old woman, said to be suffering from bipolar disorder, jumped to her death from the sixth floor of an unnamed 10-storey university in Vibhavadi, Bangkok, yesterday (September 1).
Bang Khen police, aided by the university’s security guards, barred people from entering the building immediately after the suicide.
The dead woman’s name was given as Pattaraphan, her last name was not revealed. She had on a white shirt and brown trousers.
A university guard told police that the woman looked frustrated when she entered the building, so he did not dare greet her.
After an initial investigation, the police said the woman was a former student of the university. She had bipolar disorder and had tried to commit suicide twice before.
The police are nevertheless conducting an in-depth investigation into the suicide.
