GH Bank branch in protest area closes early
The Ratchadamnoen branch of Government Housing Bank (GH Bank) had to close at noon on Wednesday to ensure the safety of its staff and customers as the student-led protest in the area continued growing.
Protest leaders had announced earlier that they will hold their biggest rally yet on Wednesday, adding that protesters will gather at Democracy Monument before moving to Government House to camp there overnight.
GH Bank has advised customers to use other bank branches nearby such as Central Plaza Pinklao, Maitrichit and Makro Charansanitwong.
“These branches are ready to provide services. The bank will inform customers as soon as possible if there are any changes,” the official said, apologising for the inconvenience.
