Fallen elephant finds his feet – with a little help from his friends
An aged elephant that had fallen over during a thunderstorm in the early hours of Wednesday was eventually able to stand up and walk away with some help from officials and veterinarians.
The Wildlife Rescue Centre No 2 learned at about 6am on Wednesday that a 70-year-old elephant had fallen over and couldn’t stand up.
When officials arrived, they injected the pachyderm with vitamins and helped lift it with a tractor. Eventually, the animal found its feet and walked away.
