Death toll increased by 84, while 8,526 patients were cured and allowed to leave hospitals.
The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 1,884,973 – 1,766,823 of whom have recovered, 99,144 are still in hospitals and 19,006 have died.
Separately, another 357,608 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 353,836 their second shot and 51,510 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 72,812,483.
According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 245.79 million on Thursday, 220.8 million of whom have recovered, 18 million are active cases (75,309 in severe condition) and 4.99 million have died (up by 8,597).
Thailand ranks 24th in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 46.59 million, followed by India with 34.23 million, Brazil with 21.77 million, the UK with 8.9 million and Russia with 8.35 million.
