Thailand records 22,984 Covid-19 cases and 74 deaths on Thursday

Ministry of Public Health reported on Thursday (March 10) morning that in the past 24 hours there are 22,984 new patients who tested positive for Covid-19, 47 of whom have arrived in Thailand from abroad.

Death toll increased by 74, while 24,161 patients were cured and allowed to leave hospitals.

Cumulative cases in the country since January 1, 2022 are at 888,422.
 

The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 3,111,857 – 2,868,011 of whom have recovered, 220,334 are still in hospitals and 23,512 have died.

Separately, another 62,311 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 18,474 their second shot and 91,005 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 125,370,801.

According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 451.81 million on Thursday, 386.09 million of whom have recovered, 59.68 million are active cases (67,992 in severe condition) and 6.04 million have died (up by 6,708).

Thailand ranks 33rd in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 81.06 million, followed by India with 42.98 million, Brazil with 29.19 million, France with 23.23 million and the UK with 19.37 million.
