Thailand records 27,560 Covid-19 cases and 85 deaths on Thursday

Ministry of Public Health reported on Thursday (March 31) morning that in the past 24 hours there are 27,560 new patients who tested positive for Covid-19, 61 of whom have arrived in Thailand from abroad.

Death toll increased by 85, while 25,077 patients were cured and allowed to leave hospitals.

Cumulative cases in the country since January 1, 2022 are at 1,404,912.
 

The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 3,628,347 – 3,356,447 of whom have recovered, 246,770 are still in hospitals and 25,130 have died.

Separately, another 85,138 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 25,625 their second shot and 179,696 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 129,362,028.

According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 487.16 million on Thursday, 422.35 million of whom have recovered, 58.65 million are active cases (58,386 in severe condition) and 6.16 million have died (up by 4,239).

Thailand ranks 30th in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 81.74 million, followed by India with 43.02 million, Brazil with 29.92 million, France with 25.45 million and the UK with 21.07 million.
