Thailand records 12,888 Covid-19 cases and 126 deaths on Saturday

Ministry of Public Health reported on Saturday (April 30) morning that in the past 24 hours there are 12,888 new patients who tested positive for Covid-19, 104 of whom have arrived in Thailand from abroad.

Death toll increased by 126, while 17,105 patients were cured and allowed to leave hospitals.

Cumulative cases in the country since January 1, 2022 are at 2,027,514.
 

The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 4,250,949 – 4,070,856 of whom have recovered, 151,567 are still in hospitals and 28,526 have died.

Separately, another 28,678 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours,  66,563 their second shot and 88,489 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 133,325,537.

According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 512.93 million on Saturday, 466.77 million of whom have recovered, 39.9 million are active cases (41,372 in severe condition) and 6.26 million have died (up by 2,261).

Thailand ranks 24th in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 83.04 million, followed by India with 43.08 million, Brazil with 30.43 million, France with 28.6 million and Germany with 24.7 million.
