Thailand records 1,740 confirmed Covid-19 cases, 32 deaths on Monday

The Public Health Ministry reported on Monday (July 25) that over the past 24 hours, 1,740 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospitals.

The death toll has risen by 32, while 2,425 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals. 

The number of cumulative cases in the country since January 1, 2022, stands at 2,354,158.
 

The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 4,577,593 – 4,522,419 of whom have recovered, 23,985 are still in hospitals and 31,189 have died.

Separately, another 2,621 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 5,258 their second shot and 34,180 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 141,224,780.

According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 575.33 million on Monday, 545.08 million of whom have recovered, 23.84 million are active cases (41,096 in severe condition) and 6.40 million have died.

Thailand ranks 27th in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 92.19 million, followed by India with 43.90 million, Brazil with 33.59 million, France with 33.53 million and Germany with 30.33 million.
