Recently my wife’s niece was declined a tourist visa so she could accompany us to the States to visit my family. She was more than qualified but the interviewer never bothered to read her supporting documentation. After months of preparation, waiting weeks to obtain an interview appointment through their archaic website, then waiting five hours at the embassy, in five minutes it was over. She even had roundtrip business class tickets!
Until the US changes its biased procedures and interview process, I will not be travelling or spending my money there anymore. The US lets illegal immigrants enter every day and then gives them benefits, but a qualified Thai doesn’t stand a chance. The whole system is broken.
