Americans need their own 'Arab Spring'

Whether or not the writer CM Phillips is American, the writer certainly has expressed the feelings of a growing number of US voters, saying that the American people should “force their politicians to put their interests – rather than Israel’s interests – first.”

There is an illusory element in US national politics called “the Jewish vote,” although Jews in the US are less than 4 per cent of the population, and the US president who has been elected despite, rather than because of, the Jewish vote will be the first true US president of this century. There has been no true US president in that mode thus far.

Americans need and want a revolution to declare themselves independent of Israel, and Americans need and want their own Arab Spring.

Where is a true US president when one is needed?
