A fit body to help defrauded customers

It is sad to read how people are taken advantage of and how they maintain high and improbable hopes of getting fee refunds. That hope appears doomed since many lending banks are pursuing the company over unpaid debts. It is almost a foregone conclusion that all members can kiss their advance fees goodbye, unless they behind using the one remaining outlet downtown.

Whether this whole episode can be viewed as fraud perpetrated by the company and its executives, instead of a simple failure of business management, is an issue that needs to be reviewed. The right entity is the Law Society of Thailand, whose mandate is to help on matters of public interest. It would be mighty civic of them to assist the consumer-protection group.
