Agent of leading stars Supachai "A" Srivichit stays calm amid celebrities avoiding paying their taxes, as is widely suspected following the case of Chermarn "Ploy" Boonyasak.

A insists that he and the celebrities he manages (including Naded Kugimiya and Nattawut "Por" Sakidjai) are unfazed, even though he was among the first people suggested as the unnamed agent abetting Ploy. "I don’t want people to think the Revenue Department tries to steal our money," A says. "It’s untrue, and asking them what to do in any situation is totally easy – the officials are nice and very helpful. I don’t know why people are so scared."

He says he has no fear of any probe and guarantees that his stable of stars is clean. "There is no way any of my people would use another person’s ID card to get a tax deduction. We have someone taking care of these matters carefully."

And, if the taxman needs help getting people to pay up, A is willing to help. He’ll put Por in TV spots promoting the cause.

Since the Revenue Department is organising a tax seminar to "educate" celebrities and other rich people, we’ll likely see some of A’s stars in attendance.

Pet pong road

Like many other homeowners, actress Nattarika "Nampueng" thammapree-danan learned during the flood crisis last year how difficult it was to rescue pets. She runs several charities that help stray cats and dogs and was housing quite a few when the floodwaters arrived at her front door – 30 dogs, cats, rabbits, fish and turtles.

So Nampueng moved to Chiang Mai and her entire menagerie went with her – in her car. It was a genuine ordeal, not least during toilet time for the turtles. "Their droppings stunk so bad that it irritated my throat!" she says.

Once they all got settled up north her first mission was to change the car seat, which was saturated in dung. It was more torment, but still not enough to make her give up her pets.
