Comparison to Pridi not well thought out

Khun Songdej Praditsmanont praised Kanit Na Nakorn for having the guts to call for “the man [Thaksin] who was the main cause of the havoc to retire from Thai politics and stay offshore from Thailand just like the sacrifice made by Pridi Banomyong”. Pridi sacrificed?
In 1949 Pridi attempted a coup against Phibunsongkram’s government, but failed. He fled the country to escape a treason charge, which carried a mandatory death penalty upon conviction. Thaksin, by contrast, won an election legally but was robbed of power by the coup.
It was totally irrelevant to compare him to Pridi, who attempted to rob power from the government.
It is convenient to blame Thaksin for everything. It’s like a car smashing into a building killing several people including a man in the car. It is convenient to identify the dead man as the driver to simplify the matter.
