The 24th annual Rally of Thailand kicked off yesterday with a ceremony and car inspection in front of the Ban Mor Planetarium in Saraburi. Racing proper begins today on the 135.34km first leg to Phetchabun, before moving to Lop Buri for tomorrow's final d

Drivers from around the world are competing for the King’s Cup Trophy in a race that also serves as Rounds 5 and 6 of the Thailand Rally Championships 2012.
At yesterday’s inspection, Virat Chotthewan of Saha Farms said Thailand’s biggest exporter of frozen chicken was throwing its full backing behind the staging of the international rally.
“It’s a great honour to support this prestigious event. Areas of our Saha Farms in Phetchabun and in Lop Buri will serve as courses for the competition. The closed routes offer tight safety and provide a long, smooth and challenging course,” said Virat.
“Those interested can watch the competition [today] at the Saha Farms Circuit on the 56km mark of Saraburi-Phetchabun Road, Highway No 21.”
