Swedish retailer H&M doesn’t believe in starting out small. In Thailand for a little over two years, it was already doing such a booming trade in its first three stores that it made sense to open another. And that’s exactly what happened recently when Sunaina Gill, country manager of Hthai (Thailand), cut the ribbon to declare H&M’s largest store in Thailand at CentralWorld officially open.
“Bangkok is fast becoming a force to reckon with in terms of trends and fashion, and owing to this, H&M has been very well-received in the Thai market,” Gill said. “We see tremendous potential for growth and aspire to have a big presence in the retail space here in our continuous commitment to offer fashion and quality at the best price.”
H&M CentralWorld spans some 3,900 square metres and carries a full range of apparel and accessories for women, men, and children.
The celebration was a night to remember – designed to impress from the moment the guest’s stepped on to the red carpet.
From A-list socialites to Bangkok’s fashionistas, the event was graced by Thailand’s most notable names and fans of H&M. Amongst the celebrities attending were Proudputh Liptapanlop, Chulalux and Sarisa Piyasombatkul, Natapree Pichainarongsongkram, Nathaporn Donavinik, Anchisa Vacharapol, Pimpisa Chirathivat, Pitchana Sa-nguansat, Apinara Srikarnchana, Mittrapak Pachimsawat, Sitichoke Plengpanich, and Bhuvit Jotikasthira.
TV and movie stars added to the excitement with Nadech Kukimiya, Pakorn Chatborirak, Rasri Balengciaga, Pu-Praya Suandokmai Lundberg, Pechaya Wattanamontree, Sarun Sirilak and the cast of the popular Hormones series, among them Pachara Chirativat, Thanapob Leerattanakajorn, Juthawut Pattarakampol, Supassara Thanachart, and Ungsumalynn Sirapatsakmetha, all making an appearance on the red carpet.
