Bubba’s promise
Bubba Watson is promising to not be so…well, Bubba at the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.
The US Ryder Cup team player told The Guardian he would be on his best behaviour when playing in Scotland on Sept. 26-28, stepping back from his crowd-riling, emphatically emotional norm.
Everyone remembers when Watson had the crowd going berserk at the first tee at the 2012 Ryder Cup at Medinah.
Watson said getting the crowd excited had a place at Medinah because the US team was on home turf. But in Scotland?
“No, I would never do that,
especially on foreign soil where they might be against that,” Watson said. “I wasn’t thinking about doing that but you never know.
When I get over there I might get excited and do it.”
