My sincere congratulations to former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra on his new role as a grandfather!
I am a few years older than Mr Thaksin. I have a grandson too. And I know how it feels.
Many of my friends are still waiting their turn, but they seem to be not lucky enough.
As one granddaddy to another, I urge you, Khun Thaksin, to do more good from now on, so that both my grandchildren and yours will have a happy life and a better future.
Fame and money come second to being close to the ones you love. That’s the truth.
