These blissfully light wireless headphones beg to be used in various ways

With a simple but classy design, Jabra’s Move Wireless Bluetooth headphones deliver both deep bass and clear, bright highs. They’re really light – less than 174 grams – and the plush ear pads are comfortable enough to wear for hours on end.
You can get the headphones in a grey tone matched with black, blue or bright red, with the colour strips on the edges of the adjustable headband and the back ear cups contrasting nicely. The fabric pattern on the headband adds to the classy feel.
Best of all, the phones’ arms are made with stainless steel and the fabric is dirt-resistant. Jabra says the phones have been tested for flexibility 10,000 times and can readily stand a one-metre drop without damage.
The Move comes with a standard 3.5mm stereo port and 3.5mm audio cable if you want to bypass the wireless technology when, for example, the battery is being recharged.
With a built-in omni-directional microphone delivering a frequency response from 100Hz to 8kHz, the Move can function as a smartphone headset too.
The multiple-function button on the left ear cup between the volume buttons is for accepting or rejecting calls, putting calls on hold and switching between calls. It’s also the control for the music playing on whatever device is connected. Press once to pause and press again to resume play. Press and hold either volume buttons to skip a track or jump backward.
On the right ear cup is the power and pairing switch. You hold this for three seconds to “pair” the Move Wireless with your smartphone or a tablet computer.
The Move “talks” to you during use, guiding you through the Bluetooth linking, for example, or confirming when the connection is made, or letting you know the battery is low or fully charged. The built-in battery takes about two hours to recharge and will then be good for up to eight hours of chatting.
Jabra’s signature DSP (digital signal processing) ensures crisp digital sound, translated by 40mm dynamic drivers for profound bass and detailed clarity.
The on-ear headphones have a sensitivity of 94dB and impedance of 29 ohms, while the frequency response ranges from 20Hz to 20kHz.
This I tested by linking via Bluetooth to a Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet. Using the control buttons on the left side was intuitively easy.
The Move came up with impressively deep basses and clear highs, terrific for rock music because you get the fine nuances of the individual instruments as well as the thunder. I kept the headphones on for hours and never felt any discomfort.
The Jabra Move Wireless retails for Bt3,290.
