In my last letter (“Leaders cannot escape responsibility for their followers’ actions”, February 19) I wrote that national leaders have a duty to safeguard citizens under their charge, and that, should violence and killing occur as a result of their underlings’ doing, they must take full responsibility.
Instead of countering with fair debate, Robin Grant accused me of harbouring a bias against women.
Grant’s advocating of women’s rights notwithstanding, the truth remains that Thai women continue to be used by their male compatriots as fronts or even scapegoats in business, politics and crime.
We don’t need to look far for an example.
