FRENCH COSMETICS chain Sephora recently unveiled its predictions for the coming autumn with an academy-like showcase of make-up for the face, eyes, lips and nails at The Campus of the Grand Hyatt Erawan and inviting lots of young celebrities and the press to make up the class.
With the help of beauty experts and Hollywood contouring secrets, regional training manager Angeline Yep presented a stylish and flawless look Sephora is calling “Nude”.
“From matte eggshell to shimmer taupe and glittery beige, Sephora has colours that pair perfectly with all skin tones,” she told her rapt audience.
“Mono Colorrful Eyeshadow” comes in 18 new nude-inspired shades, with finishes like matte, shimmer and subtle glitter. It can be applied dry or wet.”
Using an eye shadow primer extends wear even longer and the “IT Palette Delicate Nude” contains 12 soft and delicate ready-to-wear shades in a chic and stylish pouch, and a multitude of possibilities to bring out any eye colour, including green, brown and blue. Housed comfortably within its crocodile print-inspired case, the “IT palette Delicate Nude” features a double-ended eye brush (eyeliner/shadow) and a brown eye pencil.
For the face, Yep recommends making the nose look thinner and reshaping the cheekbones by resculpting the contour of the face with contouring solutions that trick the eye while enhancing beauty imperceptibly. The “Contouring 101 Face Palette” creates such contouring effects using dark and light shades. With an angled brush in one hand and the Contouring Palette in the other, apply a dark shade to the parts of the face to sculpt, then highlight those that deserved to be emphasised.
The “Low light Face Contour Duo” is a smart and effective travel-friendly pencil available in four shades and comes with two ends. One side is used to minimise and other is to highlight. Its creamy texture delivers a matte finish.
“It’s the perfect way to customise your look based on the desired results,” Yep says. Sephora’s “Pro Ultra-liquid Foundation Brush no 83” is the ideal brush for ultra-liquid foundation textures, giving off just the right amount of foundation to prevent waste. “Tint Infusion – Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation” is a foundation delivered in a dropper that evens out the complexion without a caked-on look.
For the brows, check out the “Eye Pencil To Go”, which is available in 10 colours and boasts a travel-friendly design. It mixes and matches with Brow Thickener powders (available in three shades) that tint, sculpt and densify brows in one step, and the Pro Brow Brush no 20, a Sephora essential for restructuring the brows and creating the perfect line.
For the lips Sephora introduces “Kiss Me Balm”, a subtly tinted, deliciously scented, moisturising lip balm in two new shades – Pink Bubblegum and Peach Melba.
The new “Multi-layer Nail File”, an ultra-sleek, six-layer file helps you achieve almond, square or round nail shapes. You simply remove the paper strip to reveal a completely clean and new surface. Express Nail Polish Remover allows you to remove nail polish by dipping fingers or toes and waiting a few seconds while “Instant Nail Polish Remover for Glitter” helps you wash off nail patches, tattoos, pens and other Nail Art effects.
Instant Nail and Cuticle Care is a nail and cuticle product formulated with camellia oil to nourish, repair, soften and moisturise while Nail Drying Spray dries nail polish in one minute flat with just one spray.
Another highlight of the new autumn collection is a “Sleeping Mask”, which comes in 10 scents and colours. The Pearl Sleeping Mask is enriched with natural origin white pearl extracts to boost luminosity and even reduce the look of skin irregularities, the Honey Sleeping Mask works overnight to nourish and soothe the skin and the Lingzhi Sleeping Mask takes on the difficult task of renewing the skin. It comes in two new scents, Orchid and Algae, and is best applied to skin that has been cleansed thoroughly with the Konjac sponge.
“These are the perfect masks for every girl,” Yep concludes.
