US has shown little understanding of situation in Thailand

Ref: "US Ambassador should explain Puerto Rico", Letters, December 12.

Letter-writer Guy Baker suggests the US Ambassador to Thailand should refrain from commenting on Thai politics and better apply his mind to other matters such as Puerto Rico’s massive debt.
We must not forget that, not only is the ambassador a representative of the USA, but of the Obama regime. The regime which has shown no understanding of the situation in Thailand nor of any other country. Its foreign policy is nothing short of dangerous: allowing the murder of the ambassador in Benghazi, the nuclear deal with Iran and its reluctance to forcefully oppose the Islamic State militant group. In fact the Obama regime would seem to be somewhat passively supportive of this murderous Islamic fundamentalist organisation. The Obama immigration system seems to be selective, favouring certain people from certain countries, while imposing strict controls on others.
This Obama regime is very supportive of the European Union, EU, actively bullying the UK to remain a member. The EU has destroyed democracy across the continent of Europe and is bent on denying all member states their individual sovereignty. Even worse, it has en-couraged the invasion of Eu-rope, completely unchecked, by a totally alien culture to which, by his own admission, Barack Obama belongs. Geopolitically it’s very concerning.
To dare raise this issue, on either side of the ‘pond’, evokes aggressive screams of ‘bigotry’ and ‘racism’. But power is in the hands of the people not the elite and we must keep reminding ourselves of that.
