Leicester to get big reception

Leicester City players are likely to receive a far bigger reception than they got a couple of years ago when they return to the country of the club’s owners to celebrate their English Premier League success.

Two years ago, the players were greeted by only dozens of fans after they won promotion back to the top flight division.
After completing a fairy tale journey to clinch their first ever topflight crown, the Foxes’ travelling party, led by England international Jamie Vardy, could be forgiven for expecting a celebratory atmosphere once they disembark from the plane.
The Thailand trip meant the party did not end yet for Foxes after they took part in the victory parade on an open-top bus that carried them through streets amid carnival atmosphere in the east Midlands city on Monday.
Leicester team, fondly called the “Siamese Foxes”, face an activity-packed schedule during their whirlwind trip to the capital.
After touching down at Suvarnabhumi airport in the early hours today, they are scheduled to attend a press conference in the afternoon at King Power Complex on Rangnam road, where the club are due to unveil the Premier League trophy. A long day ends with a Meet & Greet event with fans.
They will go to Salasahathai Samakom, within the Grand Palace, the following day to sign a book of goodwill in front of the portrait of His Majesty the King as well as present the blue and yellow ribbons that adorned the EPL trophy. The two colours were picked by the Foxes’ Thai owners to represent the club and the country’s beloved king.
On Thursday afternoon, they take part in a motorcade that will take them through downtown Bangkok. The parade route will pass several tourist attractions such as Siam Square, Siam Paragon, Central World and Victory Monument before going back to King Power Complex.
