Condescending attitude from expat letter writers

American John Arnone described Thais who voice their opinions in the English-language media as “parasites” (“Credit for any prosperity belongs to Thai workers”, Letters, August 22, 2016).

Also, American Eric Bahrt called Thai letter writers “elitists who are cut off from the masses” and “childlike individuals” (“Letters from wealthy Thais give false picture”, Letters, August 25, 2016).
Instead of returning the sarcasm, I would like to voice a cautionary word to these two individuals that they have denigrated Thais who are their hosts.
There’s no doubt that Thailand, like any other country in the world, needs development in many areas. However, foreigners who voice their criticism of the country should do it in a civilized, refined and educated manner.
