A popular theory (backed up by insiders, of course) is that BMA officials put so much effort into the shredding of “incriminating evidence” that there is barely any time left to administer the city.
Presumably, therefore, all Bangkok traffic problems can be blamed on shredding. Shredding caused the floods. Mass shredding has created dirty khlongs and life-threatening air pollution. Urban decay is the result of shredding.
With corruption apparently blossoming under his watch, the reputation of suspended city governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra is now also in shreds. The people of Bangkok have been ripped off. Tears are appropriate.
