Thailand ruthlessly crushed Myanmar 8-1 in the AFF Futsal Championship final to clinch a record-extending 12th title at Hua Mark Indoor Stadium on Sunday.
After edging past Malaysia 5-3 in the last four, the hosts hit top gear in the title match, racing to 3-0 lead in barely a quarter of an hour before heading into halftime break with a commanding 4-1 lead.
The Thais underlined their supremacy over the opposition with four more goals after the break to claim the regional championship in emphatic fashion.
