A taste of France

The District Grill Room & Bar at Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit celebrates all things French until April 15 with an all-new special menu from chef de cuisine, Christian Caluwaert, whose past experiences include stints at Michelin-starred restaurants L’Orangeraie in Belgium and Hostellerie de Levernois in France.

Born in Thailand but spending most of his time in Europe, Caluwaert’s unique background has enabled him to gain a deep understanding of both Thai and European culinary culture. In his 10 years of professional experience in Europe, he had the opportunity to work under some of the biggest names in the industry including Alain Ducasse and Frederic Vardon. He returned to Thailand at the end of 2014 and has earned a reputation for his creative menus and memorable gastronomic experience, which have positioned The District Grill Room & Bar firmly on Bangkok’s ever bustling dining map.
The special dishes on the menu include dry-aged beef from Charolais and Normandy, boeuf bourguignon, wild turbot with stewed green peas and white wine sauce.
The District Grill Room & Bar is open daily for dinner only from 5 until 11pm. Book a table at (02) 797 0000 or visit www.BangkokMarriott.com.
