Russian model Natalia Vodianova is the “face” of the new line officially launched this week in Los Angeles that incorporates sustainable materials.
Creative adviser Ann-Sofie Johansson hosted a posh dinner with guests including Chrissy Teigen, Orlando Bloom, Hailey Baldwin, Kate Mara, Sasha Lane and Lucky Blue Smith wearing the clothes.
The high-fashion collection was conceived to propel the brand “towards a sustainable fashion future”, Johansson said. It includes a line for youngsters, a first for H&M.
“It’s amazing to see the advances in sustainable fabrics used in the collection,” Vodianova said.
Guests at the dinner also viewed an art installation comprising the star piece in the collection, an ethereal pleated gown of polyester made from discarded plastic collected on the seashore.
