Re: “Trump’s mockers face a grim future”, Have Your Say, June 6.
Trump’s cheerleaders face a grim future too, if they attempt to present their views in Thailand’s “other” English-language newspaper.
I have just counted the numbers of pro- and anti-Trump letters in The Nation, compared to those of its competitor, over the last four days.
The rather interesting results are as follows:
The Nation: anti-Trump – 4;
pro-Trump – 4
“Other” paper: anti-Trump – 8;
pro-Trump – NIL.
So, harking back to last week’s enjoyable debate in Have Your Say over freedom of speech, I say this. If you enjoy a balanced view and the cut-and-thrust of debate, stick with The Nation. But if you feel safer in an echo chamber – well – you know where you can go!
