Give us a break from EU bashing

There are certain elements here that persist with trotting out the usual tired, retreaded rhetoric condemning the so-called “European super state”.

This, one presumes, on the basis that if you repeat cojones often enough people will start to believe you. Give it a rest; change the record; it’s boring, it’s tedious, it smacks of limited thought processes, and it’s an affront to human intelligence.
What is perfectly clear to me is that these people, either willfully or through the stupidity of ignorance do not consider why the EU was created in the first place, and indeed why it is necessary.
It’s way past the time that these individuals listened to contributors capable of thinking things through.
Further to this and thanks to the unmitigated fatuousness and outright, proven lying by Brexiteers in part, we appear to witness the seeming dismemberment of the EU in slow motion. There are ongoing stirrings of dissent, separation and discord in several member states, and with it the rise of swivel-eyed rabid right neo-Nazis in a number of countries.
Accordingly, let us not forget the tragedies of two World Wars that preceded the bovine stupidity we read here now. There’s little difference between the former and the latter.
Perhaps the people in question would like to see another European war erupt out of the ashes of a splintered EU? Or, watching from the safety of their Thai fastnesses as Putin looks to exploit the divisions in a weakened, ostensibly democratic continent?
Despicable.
