Thailand tame Myanmar 3-1 in a friendly game

Thailand beat host Myanmar 3-1 in their International A Friendly Match at the Mandalar Thiri Stadium on Thursday.

The Kingdom’s squad, without key striker Chanathip Songkrasin who had to return home in Thailand due to sickness, scored two goals in the first half through the attempts from Mongkol THosakrai in the 12th minute and from Theerasil Dangda in the 32nd minute.

Five minutes after play resumed in the second half, Myanmar narrowed the gap through a kick from Aung Thu. Thailand extended the lead when Thitiphan Puangjan sent home his free-kick in the 75th minute.

The Thai team is due to arrive home this after afternoon. They will play Kenya in another friendly at the SCG Stadium due at 7.30pm on Sunday.
