Index Creative Village (ICVeX) will stage the Myanmar International Tourism Expo at the Tatmadaw Exhibition Hall in Yangon from July 20-22 next year.
Founder and chief executive Kriangkrai Kanjanaphokin said on Monday the event would attract more than 100 exhibitors, including the state tourism agencies of Thailand and Taiwan.
The company organised Myanmar Build and Decor 2017 in Yangon with more than 200 exhibitors, and plans to stage the second edition in October next year.
“Myanmar is strategically located in Southeast Asia and can serve as a corridor to other countries,” Kriangkrai said. “It also has the highest economic growth rate, at 83 per cent per annum.”
He said that, by 2030, Myanmar’s economy will have grown fourfold since 2014. “This will expand the middle class and increase purchasing power.”
