Trump made McCain worthier of respect

Although I have written critical letters about John McCain, I think I now have a better idea why so many people are paying tribute to him.
A point many Democrats are trying to make is that, although they had strong political differences with McCain, they respected each other as human beings and could work together for the good of the country. This is why speakers at his funeral, including McCain’s own daughter, showed such contempt for Donald Trump, who has done everything possible to disrespect and humiliate anyone who doesn’t do what he wants them to, even his own attorney-general.
It’s about human decency, not politics. I get it!
