Nene Royal campaign reaches Times Square before AGT vote

A video featuring 100 Thai supporters has appeared on a Times Square billboard as Phuket singer Nene Royal prepares for AGT’s live quarter-finals.

A video featuring messages and photographs from 100 Thai supporters has appeared on a giant billboard in New York’s Times Square as Phuket performer Nene Royal prepares for the live quarter-finals of America’s Got Talent Season 21.

Nene, also known as Praew Rattikarn Amloy, is scheduled to compete in the second live quarter-final on Tuesday (August 25, 2026, US time), which falls on Wednesday (August 26) in Thailand.

Her place in the next round will depend on public voting, making the live performance a decisive stage in her campaign.

Thai messages appear on Times Square screen

CP Brand, working with Plan B, produced the support video featuring 100 Thai fans for display on a large Times Square screen, accompanied by the message “NENE GO GO!”

The campaign invited supporters to post photographs of themselves holding messages of encouragement for Nene on social media, using the hashtag #CheerNenewithCP and setting their posts to public.

One hundred photographs and messages were selected for the Times Square display, taking expressions of support from Thailand to one of New York’s best-known locations.

Nene aims to improve on earlier performances

Before leaving for the United States with her family, Nene said she was fully prepared for the live round after rehearsing extensively.

She said she intended to give her best performance and hoped to improve on her two previous appearances in the competition.

Nene also appealed to relatives, fans and other supporters in the United States and Puerto Rico to vote for her.

Her father, Narong Amloy, said the family would continue to look after her closely and had used lessons from her previous two rounds to prepare for the live show.

He added that they had planned a surprise for the AGT audience.

Viewer voting determines quarter-final result

Season 21’s live quarter-finals feature 44 contestants divided into four groups of 11, with performances and results spread across four weeks.

The quarter-final schedule is:

  • August 18–19
  • August 25–26
  • September 1–2
  • September 8–9

Contestants who advance will compete in the semi-finals on September 15–16.

The season finale is scheduled for September 22, followed by the announcement of the winner on September 23.

The live stages rely on votes from viewers in the United States, meaning Nene’s supporters there and in Puerto Rico will play a direct role in determining whether she progresses.

Thai supporters in the US have been organising to vote and attend the live performance, while Nene has also attracted support from international viewers and American rock fans who have followed her appearances.

Viewers in Thailand can follow America’s Got Talent Season 21 on True X-Zyte, Channel 340. The programme is also available through TrueVisions NOW.
