Thailand's transport is still shambles

The Burma-China railway could start in December. China will pay most of the money to build this 800-km railway, which will cost US$20 billion. Electric trains will be able to go up to 200 km per hour. Meanwhile in Thailand we have our substandard, antique

Bangkok traffic is at a standstill as police watch TV and eyeball how to keep millions of cars moving. What are we doing? China offered us this same deal. What is it with the foot-dragging? Our transportation infrastructure is non-existent. The state railway is a government-run money pit. Bangkok should be blanketed with trains up and down every major road. Do you think the traffic is going to get better? Maybe we could strive to keep up with Burma on this one, huh?
