Vultures waiting for big spending projects

I am not used to writing to newspapers but I must compliment Thanong Khanthong on an excellent opinion piece. Absolutely spot on across the board on all points.

As a resident of Thailand for fast approaching 20 years with a Thai spouse and family, I despair at the potential for mismanagement and more so the usual lack of transparency when large government funding is announced. There is no doubt that many parts of Thai society need support, and should receive it, but at the same time there will be those who will be rubbing their hands with glee.

You should regularly repeat your theme of “the findings – of the truth and nothing but the truth” until there are transparent answers to the excellent points you have raised.

Keep them honest and keep up the good work.
