Don't keep His Majesty waiting

The entire nation bowed low as one to wish our most beloved King a very happy birthday and a long and healthy life - and we all act as one, too, in ignoring his advice, no matter how sensible it is.

I suggest that acting on his advice on the lese majeste law would be a very fitting birthday gift this year, especially since our application of it has attracted much negative attention worldwide, including from the United Nations.
For starters, release Ampon Tangnoppakul, aka “Uncle SMS”, 61, sentenced to 20 years in jail for allegedly sending four text messages to the secretary of then-prime minister Abhisit. Also, work with the Privy Council to implement the law in such as way that the high institution is protected – not politicians.
Successive governments have made His Majesty wait six years for us to give more than lip service to his words on this law, which directly affects him and his institution; why would you, dear reader, want to have him wait longer?
